This site is a digital collection of infrared photographs of historical Indigenous Northwest Coast paintings. The photographs are held by the archives at the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The objects and belongings presented here are held by institutions around the world and appear in this collection with their permission.

Many of the images on this site appear in the book The Transforming Image:  Painted Arts of Northwest Coast First Nations by Bill McLennan and Karen Duffek. This site includes over 1,000 additional images that did not appear in the book, and allows for closer examination of details captured in the photographs.
